The Line of Symmetry

The Meridian Tonal Tee explores the concept of the ‘Center Line.’ In geography, the meridian is the line that connects the poles; in our design, it is the line that balances the human form. This project features a single, vertical raised-rubber line running directly down the spine of the shirt. From the front, the shirt appears to be a perfect, minimalist blank. Only when the wearer turns away is the detail revealed. It is a lesson in ‘exit-design’?the idea that a garment should be just as interesting when you are leaving a room as when you are entering it.

Tactile Technology

The ‘Meridian’ line is created using a specialized 3D-silicone injection. This is not a flat print; it is a tactile ridge that adds a physical dimension to the garment. We chose a tonal colorway, black on black or white on white, so that the detail is defined by shadows rather than color contrast. This makes it an incredibly versatile piece for a high-end capsule wardrobe. The silhouette is a ‘Relaxed Standard,’ offering a clean, straight fall from the chest to the waist without the extreme volume of our oversized series.

Sustainability and Durability

Organic Long-Staple Cotton: We sourced a specific 200 GSM cotton known for its luster and strength. It feels cool against the skin, making it an ideal base layer. Silicone Durability: The silicone used for the Meridian line is medical-grade and heat-resistant, meaning it will not melt or peel during ironing or high-heat drying. Minimalist Hem: We?ve utilized a blind-stitch hem on the sleeves and bottom to maintain the ‘seamless’ look of the tonal aesthetic.
