The Vision

Earth and Structure

The Terracotta Box-Tee is inspired by the sunbaked ceramics of the Mediterranean and the raw clay used in ancient architecture. This project seeks to bring a warm, organic grounding to the often cold, industrial world of streetwear. The color is a deep, muted burnt orange?a tone that feels alive and natural. The silhouette is an extreme box-fit, designed to stand away from the body to allow for maximum airflow and a sharp, rectangular drape. It is a piece that feels both ancient and modern, bridging the gap between raw earth and clean design.

Material Engineering

To achieve the specific ‘stiff’ drape required for a true box-tee, we utilized a 300 GSM ‘Dry-Knit’ organic cotton. This fabric has a slightly granular texture, similar to the feel of unglazed pottery. Unlike softer blends, this material holds its shape even after hours of wear, ensuring that the ‘boxy’ silhouette remains crisp from morning to night. We’ve finished the garment with a triple-needle reinforced hem to add weight to the bottom, preventing the shirt from fluttering and maintaining its structural integrity.
